Over a 3 day shutdown last week QME successfully completed our fixed plant upgrade project. The works including the installation of larger dual drive motors on our vertical shaft impactor and swapping out our finished product aggregate screen for an new larger capacity 20×8 screen and support frame. The entire project was completed within the allocated timeframe due to QME’s ability to complete all fabrication and structural work off-site, having the complete screen module fully commissioned prior to arrival at the quarry. A 30% increase in the production of 14, 10 and 7mm aggregate has been achieved. A big shoutout to Ian and the entire crew at QME for achieving a great outcome for the quarry.
